Established in 1952, the Diliman Review is a refereed journal jointly published by the College of Arts and Letters (CAL), College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP), and the College of Science, University of the Philippines – Diliman. Although perceived as a TriCollge publication, it is directly managed and housed by CSSP.

Diliman Review holds a strong line of editors known in the areas of arts and humanities, social sciences, and the sciences. National Artists N.V.M. Gonzalez and Virgilio S. Almario once served as Editor-in-Chiefs of the Diliman Review. Social Scientists like Dr. Stanley Early B. Fronda (Philosophy) and Dr. Aldrin P. Lee (Linguistics) likewise assumed leadership in 2001 and 2017-2020, respectively. Well known Filipino Scientists such as Dr. Carlo A. Arcilla (Geology, 2004), Giovanni A. Tapang (Physics, 2015) and Dr. Ian Kendrich C. Fontanilla (Biology, 2023-2024) took the Diliman Review editorship as well.

Diliman Review used to be in magazine format until its transformation into a book form and became a refereed journal back in 2005. The decision was made under the Deanship of CAL Dean Virgilio S. Almario, CSSP Dean Zosimo E. Lee, and CS Dean Rhodora V. Avanza. The editor back then was Dr. Priscelina Patajo-Legasto of the Department of English and Comparative Literature of UP CAL. Since then, Diliman Review seeks the service from its own pool of experts and faculty members to act as Reviewers and Evaluators to every manuscript submission.

Currently, Diliman Review can be accessed online via saliksik.upd.edu.ph, an E-Journals platform managed by the UP Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Development (UP OVCRD). Its present Editorial Board is comprised of the TriCollege Dean’s: Dean Jimmuel C. Naval (CAL), Dean Ruth R. Lusterio-Rico (CSSP), and Dean Cynthia P. Saloma (CS); and Editor-in-Chief Dr. Grace Liza Y. Concepcion (CSSP), and Associate Editors Dr. Rosella M. Torrecampo and Dr. Giovanni A. Tapang. Its lone staff, Mr. Darius L. Martinez manages both the publication and administrative tasks of the Diliman Review.
