IN PHOTOS: This semester’s CSSP Computer Laboratory Training entitled “Towards a Digital Future: Digitization, Digitalization, and Digital Transformation” with Asst. Prof. Jonathan. Isip (Faculty, UP School of Library and Library Studies) and Mr. Jan Michael Duenas (IT Officer, CSSP Computer Laboratory) as resource speakers began today, 18 November 2025 at Pilar Herrera Lecture Hall, CSSP, UP Diliman. The second part of the session will be led by Mr. Chito Angeles (The University Library) on 27 November 2025 (Thursday).

This training session’s discussed the following goals and initiatives:

1) the difference between digitisation and digital preservation

2) Understand the requirements for digitisation following ISO 13028

3) Understand the difference in quality and applications between master and access records

4) Design tests and procedures for quality control

5) Develop a preservation ready workflow for digitisation, including metadata documentation

as well as the application of ethics in the workplace and digital space as a form.
