Exemplifying both honor and excellence in the service of the University, distinguished members of the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, Dr. Ricardo T. Jose and Mrs. Imelda R. Reyes received the prestigious Gawad Tsanselor Award last 11th May 2018, at the Institute of Biology Auditorium.
Dr. Ricardo T. Jose, a Professor from the Department of History and current Director of the Third World Studies Center, was selected as one of the recipients of the Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatangging Guro. He has also received a Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik for the year 1999 and his first Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatangging Guro last 2011.
Ms. Imelda R. Reyes, Administrative Officer V of the CSSP was also recognized for her outstanding service to CSSP. Finding her humble beginnings at the Department of Sociology in 1997, she has found her way to greater duties and responsibilities that finally led her to the position she now holds under the Office of the Dean. She has rendered a total of twenty-one (21) years of active service in the college unit.
Two programs and one organization were also acknowledged along with a total of fourteen (14) individuals at this year’s Gawad Tsanselor Awarding Ceremony.
